Biography
Work History: Currently retired. Worked for 7 years as a systems engineer for Digital Equipment Corporation, 7 years developing an international order processing / inventory control system for Van Dusen Air, 10 years as an IT consultant, and 15 years developing custom applications at General Mills.
Education: BS from Iowa State University, MA from the University of Michigan, and 3 additional years of graduate study at the University of Florida, all in Behavioral Neuroscience.
Interests: I have a wide-ranging and nearly insatiable curiosity. I love history, classical music, theater, art, photography, bike rides, walks, hikes, travel, gardening, wood working, and talking to interesting people. I am particularly concerned about environmental issues. I spent most of my adult life in the Twin Cities. My communities are Touchmark where I live and the Fox Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship where I am active on the Green Sanctuary committee, the audit committee, and many other groups. I regularly attend the Noon-Hour Philosophers meetings and am almost always in the midst of one of the Great Courses and a good book.
