ATTENDEES: David Debbink, Marcia Debbink, Paul Freiberg, Walt Hedges via Zoom, Barb Kelly, Bill Kelly, Dale Lewellyn, John Palmquist, Jan Mirenda Smith, Kris Stahl, Peter Thiel, Scott Valitchka, Bert Wiegand via Zoom, and Sofia Wilson via Zoom
A buffet dinner was served by Touchmark.
BUSINESS MEETING: Bill called the meeting to order at 6:10 p.m.
GUESTS: Peter Thiel introduced his daughter, Lisa, from Salt Lake City.
MINUTES: There were no corrections or additions to the 1/15/26 minutes. A motion was made by David to accept the minutes, which was seconded by Paul. All were in favor and the minutes were approved as published.
TREASURER'S REPORT: Barb reported a beginning balance of $3,211.09 as of
1/09/26. There were payments of $910.00 for IATC dues and no receipts, leaving a
balance of $2,301.09 as of 2/14/26. It was moved by Dale and seconded by Jan to
accept the Treasurer's report. All were in favor and the report was approved.
VICE PRESIDENT'S REPORT: Speakers are still needed for the fall months of
October, November, and December.
OLD BUSINESS:
Paul reminded members about the upcoming IATC Convention. It will be held June 11-13 in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Barbara and Bill reported that they had attended multiple IATC conventions in the past and found them to be very interesting with great speakers.
NEW BUSINESS: There was no new business.
The business meeting was adjourned at 6:18 p.m
Presentation: Scott and John presented the second in their three-part program:
"Michigan's U.P. – Superior Scenery and Remarkable People." Their pictures were
beautiful and the talk was very educational and interesting. Thank you, John and Scott!
