The meeting came to order at 6:22 p.m.
Bill welcomed guests, Sofia Wilson, former member attending via zoom from Las Vegas and Peter’s daughter, Lisa Campbell who is visiting from Salt Lake City, Utah.
MINUTES: There were no corrections or additions to the minutes. A motion was made by David to accept the minutes, which was seconded by Walt. All were in favor and minutes were approved as published.
TREASURER’S REPORT: Barb reported a balance of $2,156.28, as of 2/14/25. There were no payments or receipts, so the balance as of 3/16/25 remained $2,156.28. It was moved by David and seconded by Bert to accept the Treasurer’s report. All were in favor and the report was approved.
VICE PRESIDENT’S REPORT: Bert said that Walt will be giving the presentation this evening on Time Revisited. He also reported that we will be enjoying a guest presentation by Rich Carlstedt at the April meeting. Bert will present then in May, Kris in September and David in October. November and December meetings remain available.
OLD BUSINESS: Mary Poulson books: Barb reported that she has still not heard back from Lawrence University Library. Barb was given permission at the last meeting to reach out to the Appleton Public Library to make the donation to them, as we have done in the past. They have not responded to her yet, but She and Bill have an APL meeting tomorrow (3-21-2025) and they will inquire about it then.
NEW BUSINESS: Bill thanked the nominating committee for securing nominees for new officers. The nominees are Bert Weigand for president, Walt Hedges for vice-president, Kris Stahl for secretary and Barb Kelly for treasurer. Bill then asked for any nominations from the floor. There were none. Peter moved that we accept the nominations. The motion was seconded by David. All were in favor. Congratulations to the new officers.
ANNOUNCEMENTS: Paul reported that as of now there is no IATC convention planned for this year. Initially there were no clubs that could host the convention in June. A newly formed club in Savannah had offered to host the convention, but in September. However, being a new club, they found themselves busy with other things and plans were not moving forward. The IATCI board met and then decided not to have it in Savannah. They are now considering regional meetings, but nothing has been decided at this point. Paul will keep us posted.
It was moved by Paul and seconded by Walt to adjourn the business meeting. All were in favor and the business meeting was adjourned
