ATTENDEES: Sue Bennett via Zoom, David Debbink, Marcia Debbink, Paul Freiberg, Walt Hedges, Barb Kelly, Bill Kelly, Dale Lewellyn, Elaine Lewellyn, John Palmquist, Jan Mirenda Smith via Zoom, Kris Stahl, Peter Thiel, Scott Valitchka via Zoom, and Bert Wiegand. Nancy Bodway also stopped in briefly to greet people prior to the meeting but then excused herself from the actual meeting due to an overloaded schedule that day.

A buffet dinner was served by Touchmark.
BUSINESS MEETING: Bert called the meeting to order at 6:18 p.m.
MINUTES: There were no corrections or additions to the 2/19/26 minutes. A motion was made by David to accept the minutes, which was seconded by Bill. All were in favor and the minutes were approved as published.
TREASURER’S REPORT: Barb reported a beginning balance of $2,301.09 as of 2/14/26. There was a payment of $15.83 for Elaine Lewellyn’s pin and no receipts, leaving a balance of $2,285.26 as of 3/12/26. It was moved by Dale and seconded by Walt to accept the Treasurer’s report. All were in favor and the report was approved.
VICE PRESIDENT’S REPORT: Walt reviewed the list of speakers for this spring and next fall.
OLD BUSINESS:
Paul reminded members again about the upcoming IATC Convention. It will be held June 11-13 in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Barbara and Bill also reported that they had attended multiple IATC conventions in the past and found them to be very interesting with great speakers.
NEW BUSINESS: There was no new business.
The business meeting was adjourned at 6:26 p.m
Presentation: Scott presented the third in his and John’s three-part program: “Mining Work, the Immigrants and The Communities Associated With Michigan’s Upper Peninsula Iron Mines.” Thank you, John and Scott!
