BUSINESS MEETING
Paul called the meeting to order at 6 PM.
April minutes were accepted by consensus.
Treasurer's report from Barb:
Balance in account: $2,864.24
Form 990-N e-Postcard has been filed and accepted, confirming our tax exempt status.
Barb suggested that we use our balance to cover next year's IATC dues so members will only need to pay $20 for club dues. This will be discussed and voted on at the September meeting.
The treasurer's report was accepted by consensus.
Bill created a Google Doc for members to schedule next year's presentations. He will send a link after the meeting.
Our summer picnic is tentatively scheduled for August 13, the second Thursday in August, at the Kelly's. Hold the date for now, and we will see what is possible closer to that time.
The Torch convention in Boone, NC has been postponed to next year.
Members voted for the IATC Vice-President. The Vice-President automatically becomes president at the end of their term. The current vice-president is Dorthy Driscol. Each club gets one vote for Vice-President and our top two are sent to IATC. Susan Breen-Held received 7 votes and Richard Davis received 5. Mary Flanagan will mail our selections to IATC.
Mary Poulson said she received an unbelievable number of cards for her 40th (90th) birthday and would like to thank everyone for their good wishes. She also thanked everyone who dropped off buttons to be used by her mask-making neighbors.
Mary said that Noon Hour Philosophers plan to hold their next season beginning in October if possible. The schedule will be available in mid-September.
