PRESIDENT Barb Kelly called the meeting to order at 6:35 PM.
MINUTES of 9 October were approved after correction: Badger game, not Packer game.(Secretary asks for absolution on grounds of invincible ignorance in these matters.)
TREASURER’S REPORT: Dues received / $770. Total: $2118.88.
CONVENTION 2009: On the first of February 2009, the Convention price will go up. Tour locations are being determined. If there is a profit from the Convention, we will be allowed to keep half.
Short and sweet, we adjourned for dinner at 6:50 , followed by Bob Swain’s program, Battle for the Mall.
"In July, 1984 the Fox River Mall in Grand Chute opened its doors to an eager public. Bob Swain discussed the history of the mall development project and the efforts of the City of Appleton and private parties to stop it. A discussion of suburban and rural development and its impact on the central business districts of neighboring cities and towns followed Bob's presentation."
