ATTENDEES: Nancy Van Rooy Bodway, David Debbink, Marcia Debbink, Paul Freiberg, Walt Hedges, Barb Kelly, Bill Kelly, Dale Lewellyn, John Palmquist, Kris Stahl, Peter Thiel

A buffet dinner was served by Touchmark.

BUSINESS MEETING: Walt called the meeting to order at 6:15 p.m.

MINUTES: There were no corrections or additions to the February 20, 2025 minutes. Amotion was made by David to accept the minutes, which was seconded by Bill. All were in favor and the minutes were approved as published.

TREASURER’S REPORT: Barb reported a beginning balance of $2,134.28 as of 5/15/25.  She then reported that she had made a payment of $100.00 to the Appleton Public Library for Mary Poulson’s memorial books.  Barb reported a final balance of $2,034.28 as of 9/15/25.  It was moved by Dale and seconded by Bill to accept the Treasurer’s report. All were in favor and the report was approved.  The group gave a round of applause and expressed their gratitude to Barb for her work on the Mary Poulson memorial books project.

VICE PRESIDENT’S REPORT: Walt reported for Bert that volunteer speakers are still needed for next March, April, and May.

OLD BUSINESS:  Barb reported that IATC appreciates the updating of information about all Torch Club members.  She then passed around a spreadsheet with each member’s information and asked them to review/revise their information for accuracy.  She will update the IATC database.

NEW BUSINESS:
Walt reported that Dwight Williams had asked about our Club’s interest in helping grow the new Madison Torch Club.  Our members were invited to attend a Zoom meeting that will offer helpful information about growing the club.  Paul expressed an interest in attending the Zoom meeting.  Barb said that all members are encouraged to let her know if they know of anyone residing in the Madison area who might be interested in joining that club.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:  It was reported that Reed Taylor (Peter’s brother-in-law) had passed away.  He was instrumental in forming our Torch Club.  Members expressed their sympathy to Peter and gratitude for Reed’s work with our club.

It was moved by Paul and seconded by Bill to adjourn the business meeting. All were in favor and the business meeting was adjourned at 6:25 p.m
